Dear Trailblazer Entrant…
On behalf of all the team who put together this year's event, well done!
Who will forget Cameron’s stunning effort in the 50k, Robert’s never give up attitude in the 29k, the participants who stepped it out in the 14k and those beaut family groups in the 8k.
And all of you, who did your best. Who could ask for more.
It was all about you and your ability to raise much needed funds for some great causes in Surf Lifesaving and the work of Rotary in the community.
We encourage you to chase up your pledges and complete your targets, plus a bit more if you can.
Please keep a look out for news about the future of Trailblazer by the Sea, judging by your feedback so far, we may do it again! :-)
Thanks and keep on moving.
What people are saying about Trailblazer by the Sea….
50k First Place getter Cameron Brown Said…
Cameron Brown Great course, great weather and most importantly great volunteers providing the perfect event to let us runners do what we love. Thanks to all involved in creating this event. I'm sure it will get bigger and better every year just like the way it's hills cousin evolved, off to a great start in the inaugural year. Thanks!
Graeme Bethune A great new event raising money for Rotary Club of Adelaide charities and Surf Lifesaving SA. Our group really liked it. Can't wait for next year.
The event was great and the weather was perfect. I didn’t even drink any of the water I took and didn’t eat any of the food I took because there was so many lovely volunteers along the way filling us up and cheering us on. I have a lot of respect for Rotary as my dad has only recently retired after many years as a Rotarian, and appreciate all they do for the community. I have never been along parts of that walk as I live near the hills and usually do hills walks but it was beautiful and recommend it to anyone. I have a few blisters but generally feel ok. I don’t think there is anything the organisers could have done differently as from my point of view it was a successful event. I was very pleased to see the massage people at the end even though they caused me a world of pain J Well done, I will be back next year! Anna
Was great…..I don’t think any improvements needed, definitely lots of stops with food and drinks which was unexpected. Kerry
I ran to 50km event yesterday. I'd like to say, well done on a great event. Well organised, friendly and a beautiful setting! Cheers Rhys
…just to let you know, our group really enjoyed the 14 km, more than the initial 18 km on the old Trailblazer, and I’m sure they will be keen to do it again next year, when we will probably be able to get more walkers...Well done on the new event. Cheers Graeme
Thanks for organising the event, it was great! We're still feeling the repercussions from the long walk, but we're definitely keen to do it again if you run another one! We were stopped and asked by a lot of pedestrians along the way what we were doing, so hopefully there'll be more interest in coming years too! All positive feedback from us and our team, a fantastic event! Hopefully we'll see you again soon.Regards, Emilie
thanks for a beautiful event , I had a ball !!!,I am just starting to do fun runs/walks. I really enjoyed your walking along the beach, it's part of my journey,(I have lost over 63kg so far and still going), can't wait for the next one thank you Nicola
I just want to thank you and congratulate you and organising a super fun event, I enjoyed it so much! Thank you once again :) Cheers, Marlize
Thank you to all of the organisers and volunteers of this years event. It was really good to have so many water and refreshment stops and encouraging to see the first aid on the board walk. Well done. I will definitely do it again next year.Sherri
What an amazing event! I thoroughly enjoyed the day and will definitely participate should there be more. Probably one of the best organised events I have been in in the Adelaide area. Such a good vibe! Thank you! Dione
David and I really enjoyed The Trailblazer by the Sea. It was an great day and lovely to meet so many walkers and runners. I truly was inspired by the long distance runners and ultras that I encountered on that beautiful sunny morning by the sea. Also some of the personal stories I listened to on their journey towards health and fitness. The volunteers and members of Rotary and surf-life saving clubs were so friendly and helpful. Thankyou. I definitely recommend this community fundraising event and will be promoting it in my workplace. Mary
Thank you for such a well organised fun run at the weekend and for turning on the weather!! all the staff at each surf club and station made you feel so important and were so friendly and caring , making sure we were well hydrated and nourished ! will try and send through some photos for your website but thank again, will definitely get some more friends together next run and keep the support up for you. kind regards Alexandra
